The Academy of Student Pharmacists is a division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). The mission of the Academy is to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, to improve patient care, and to envision and advance the future of pharmacy.
The organization sponsors a number of Patient Care Projects (PCPs) composed of Operation Diabetes, Operation Immunization, Operation Heart, OTC Medication Safety, and Generation Rx.
It also hosts numerous events such as Cultural Night and Student-Faculty Auction throughout the year with its International Pharmaceutical Student's Federation (IPSF), the Policy Standing Committee (PSC), and the Inter-Professional Committee. Other networking opportunities and competitions include Mid-Year Regional Meeting (MRM), National Patient Counseling Competition (NPCC), PharmFlix Video Contest, and the National Annual Meeting and Exposition.
