Welcome to the Muslim Student Association!

Our mission is to spread Islamic awareness throughout the UB community, and provide all interested students an opportunity to become part of a greater Islamic community and form lasting connections. We strive to create a comfortable space for Muslim students at UB to get to know each other, practice their faith, and learn more about it.

We hope MSA can provide a home away from home for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1.  Do you have a Salah area for Muslims on campus?

            Students on campus may use the MSA Room for making Salah. This is located in Student Union 320, there is also a university-wide reflection room, SU 311, which many Muslim students also use for prayer.

2. Are there Wudu facilities?

            Yes! The bathrooms across from the MSA Room contain special facilities to make wudu easy and convenient for Muslims across campus. They also have specialized Istinjaa accessories.

 

3. Does Jumu’ah take place on campus? What about ‘Eid Salah?

 

            Every Friday the MSA uses Student Union 235 to conduct Jumu’ah Salaah.

 

Our overall mission:

  • Assist and strengthen the ties among the Muslim students at the Undergraduate level at the University at Buffalo.
  • Increase awareness and appreciation of University at Buffalo
  • Promote and strengthen cultural ties among Muslim students at UB.
  • Support activities and better understanding and cooperation in the University and community.
