About

Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society, is the nation's second-oldest honor society, founded at Lehigh University in 1885. The only engineering honor society to recognize individuals from all engineering disciplines. There are currently 257 chapters at colleges and universities across the US, 50 active alumni chapters across 16 districts, and a total initiated membership of 637,980.

 

Tau Beta Pi's vision is to recognize, celebrate and champion excellence in engineering.

 

UB's New York Nu Chapter was founded in 1967 and boasts 3,823 members, including 611 female engineers, 44 faculty members, 25 Scholarship recipients, 6 Fellowship recipients, 2 Laureates and an Outstanding Advisor Recipient. Notable members include;
