Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic
About
The Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic is a student run, free medical clinic whose mission is to provide care to the greater Buffalo community. This mission is made possible by our volunteer team, which consists of medical students from the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine, professional students from various University at Buffalo allied healthcare programs including dentistry, legal, nutrition, public health, and social work, as well as our dedicated local physicians who oversee the care that is provided.
Our services are free and available to all, including patients who are uninsured and underinsured, and are conducted under the direction of fully licensed physician volunteers.
We embrace the Association of American Medical Colleges’ (AAMC) definition of diversity, including the recognition that diversity is not limited to gender, race and ethnicity, but must also include age, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious commitment, physical ability and other varied backgrounds and life experiences. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all of our patients, and we strive to embrace diversity, equity and inclusive excellence through our actions, policies and culture.
