2026 Student Engagement End of Year Event Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest and willingness to assist with Student Engagement's end of year programming initiatives. We are looking for volunteers to assist with three of our events:

Pillars of Leadership Awards - Wednesday, April 29: The Pillars of Leadership Awards are designed to recognize individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to leadership, service, mentorship, and the UB and Buffalo communities. Volunteering responsibilities for this event can include helping check students in, mingling with the nominated individuals, and handing out giveaway items to our campus student leaders.

Oozefest - Saturday, May 2: Established in 1984, Oozefest is one of the largest, double-elimination, collegiate mud-volleyball tournaments in the country and one of UB’s longest-running traditions. Student Engagement would like to invite you to join in the fun and excitement of Oozefest by volunteering for the tournament on Friday, May 1, 2026 for pre-event support and/or Saturday, May 2, 2026 for the day of Oozefest. Volunteers are invited to provide day-before and/or day-of support to help implement Oozefest 2026. Expectations of this volunteer opportunity include assisting with event set-up, registration, tournament logistics, food, refereeing, and clean-up/event break-down You may get dirty during your shift but that's part of the fun - it's Oozefest!

Toast to '26 - Tuesday, May 6: This is hosted as a way to celebrate the accomplishments of the UB Class of 2026. The event will include brief remarks from UB Leadership, UB Alumni Association Leaders, and select members of the Class of 2026, as well as light refreshments and a champagne toast. The entire event will last approximately one hour. We are looking for volunteers to assist on the day of the event by helping with check-in, welcoming students, mingling with our graduates, cleaning up and resetting for the next event.
